Once you’re written a book, or created a new product, the next part is something a lot of people really struggle with – setting a price. It’s like a scary math problem where the answer isn’t always clear. Price it too high and no one will buy. Price it too low and you devalue your work and your profits. Finding the right price doesn’t have to feel like a guessing game, though, especially if you follow these tips. #1: Research similar books or products in your niche and take note of their prices. That will give you an idea of what’s working and a price range to start with. This doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to that range, but it’s a good starting point. #2: Calculate your costs including printing, production, and fulfillment to get a break-even baseline. Add in extras that retail sites will charge you. If you sell from your own site, those costs will be minimal. Selling from online stores such as Amazon, however, will incur higher costs to deduct from your bottom line. If you have a certain profit margin you’d like to attain, this number will help you to set your retail price. #3: Consider the value your book, planner or product is offering to your customer. Will they save time, money, stress? If you are delivering a lot of value to their business or life, that raises the value of your product and the price you can charge. #4: Decide on a price that feels right to you. If you think you’re charging too little, then you’ll feel resentful and that will come through. If you think you’re charging too much, you might feel nervous, unsure or scared to put it out there. #5: Poll your beta testers. Ask them to suggest a price range. Or run your price idea by them for their feedback. These are people who have read your book or used your program, so they have personal knowledge of the value of what you’re selling. #6: If you’re selling from your own website, the price you set isn’t permanent. Pricing can be nerve-racking, we know, but you can always adjust. You might start out with an introductory price to test the waters and then adjust it to fit demand. Coupon codes, special packaged deals, and other similar methods can be used until you’ve got it just right. #7: Add value to support your price: Make the price you set a no-brainer by adding so much value that your customer is excited to buy! Create packages out of your book or product to make it unique and different than anything else - and add value with extra products that add value to it. For example, if you have a children's book, include stickers, coloring pages, crayons or colored pencils. For planners you could include extras like pens, clips, bookmarks, notepads, stickers, or even experiences like an introductory coaching session or limited-time membership in a mastermind or online program. Adding a little something extra like this will elevate your book or product's value in your customer's eyes. Yes, there might be similar products with lower prices (that are most likely bulk-produced in China), but you have the ability with self-publishing services to create something unique, elevate your customer's experience, and make yours the choice they want.

Once in awhile someone catches our attention for a number of reasons: their story, unique sales and marketing strategies, personality, or product. Today’s spotlight shines on this Vervante author who checks off all those categories and more. Dulce Johnson dreamed of creating a planner and set out to accomplish that dream with no experience at all – and with a baby on the way. We’re excited to share her story here (and you won’t believe what happened on the day she launched her planner!). Dulce's story Q: Tell us the story of your planner I had been using goal-setting vision boards at home for a few years, but couldn’t find a planner that had everything I wanted, like an accountability section, to go with them. So I decided to make my own. I had no idea how to do this when I started. I just started Googling like crazy, reading everything I could, with a lot of trial and error along the way. That’s how I found resources I used for my planner, like Canva and Vervante. Every step of creating this planner I’ve done on my own. I’m not a graphic designer, so that was a big learning curve for me. I reached out to Vervante and asked a lot of questions. I had no shame, figured I was just going to keep asking questions until I figured this thing out. There was a lot of trial and error doing it this way. I had piles of printouts everywhere as I was developing it. I had to dig deep for creativity. I really had to step out of my comfort zone and push through. Q: What else was going on in your life at that time? When I began developing my planner, I found out I was pregnant. I’d already set a timeline/deadline, but now I had to speed that timeline up to get the planner done before my due date. In addition to that, I had a full-time job, active in church, husband and a busy toddler getting into everything. I had to set my priorities, decline a lot of social invitations and really focus. When I finally launched the planner, I opened preorders on a Friday and gave birth to my son two days later – 3 weeks earlier than my due date! Q: What advice would you give to someone else wanting to create a planner or product like this? Ask lots of questions! Make a product that you’d be comfortable using yourself and you’re proud to put out there. Also, don’t be afraid to go with your gut. In the process of making my planner I’d get feedback that just didn’t work for my vision. I’d thank them but did what felt right to me. Q: What are your plans for this planner? It’s an undated planner, so I can promote it all year long. I share images from the planner on my Instagram a lot, with ideas and motivation for using it. I’m having a live launch party in August at a local coffee shop and plans for workshops using the planners starting October. I also plan on creating a men’s version next. I’ve had men interested in goal setting and wanting to use something like this, but mine is too pink and girly! About the Designed for Vision planner The Designed for Vision Planner is for the dreamer, the visionary, the goal getter who is ready to build great habits while also being able to plan out their days! Each page was created with the intention to help you create lasting habits and a lifestyle that will help you conquer the goals in your life. This full color planner is not only pretty in color but made to inspire you to live your best life. We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Sayler. An accomplished author, speaker and expert in courageous, conscious communication skills, Sharon had already written several books about mindfullness, communication and leadership skills when she was inspired to follow her heart and write a children's book. As she continues to work with adults to enrich their lives as business leaders and entrepreneurs, she's enjoying this new path of life enriching the lives of young readers with the book and fun products she created to go along with it. Sharon's story Q: What inspired you to write a children's book? Funny you ask, one might call it a brain download more than a brainstorm. Pinky Chenille(tm) and the land of Addendale came to me in a dream three months before my first grandchild was born. I jumped up out of a deep sleep at 2 a.m., and there was Pinky and Princess Adeline, and the Color Critters all in vivid color ‘talking to me’ about the first story ‘Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters’ in the Pinky Chenille series. I immediately began to write down what I was seeing and hearing. Crazy sounding, I know! It wasn’t in early-reader rhyme like it is now, yet the story was all there. It took five years to bring it to ‘life.’ Q: What advice would you give other authors when writing their first book? GO FOR YOUR DREAM! I struggled five years to bring 'Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters' to life, even in the face of plenty of people saying “Why?” (And to be transparent, the last four years of the ‘Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters’ saga I was recovering from a severe medical condition.) So, don’t let anything or anyone stop you when you KNOW this is what you are meant to do. With Vervante being a wise and positive team member on the Pinky Chenille team, we made it to a #1 bestseller on Amazon, got a 5-star review from Readers Favorites, 33 very positive reviews on Amazon, and have a passionate social media community – it’s just amazing. Q: What do you love most about this book? Shamelessly, I'm saying everything! The fun way the story and illustrations go from black and white to full color, the attached audiobook on CD so kids can listen along, the hardcover - all making it a legacy book, one that can go through many grandkids. And for Rainbow Hunters, I wanted to impart in a playful and easy to understand way values such as compassion, empathy, teamwork and especially getting along, that I feel are missing these days in so many places. During the research phase of what is children’s-early-reader-fiction and now reading to my grandchildren, I’ve been shocked at how bad some children’s books are. I've found topics that aren’t appropriate, words that little ones don’t need to hear, illustrations that are scary, etc. ‘Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters’ is a positive, fun message about getting along and how our differences are what make us stronger. Playful and easy to follow were as vital to me as the values because the book is for the 3-to-8-year-old crowd and honestly, I think regardless of age we all enjoy a book that is playful and easy to read. About Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters When all the Color Critters decide to hide their color, Addendale becomes a very sad and drab place indeed… Headlines everywhere read: Addendale’s been reduced to monochromatic by Color Critters! As Princess Adeline came rushing along, By the look on her face, something was wrong . . . “Pinky! Pinky! Where did the colors go? I’ve been looking high and low!” Can Pinky Chenille and Princess Adeline bring all the colors back together and make their world a colorful, happy place again? Perfect for reading-together-memories for years to come, Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters is printed in beautiful full-color with a hardcover and audiobook CD. With whimsical art and playful rhyming verse the main characters, Pinky Chenille and Princess Adeline, weave a fantastical tale on the importance of friendship, teamwork and getting along. Just like the classic tale ‘Wizard of Oz’ Pinky Chenille and the Rainbow Hunters starts with delightful black and white illustrations and ends in a merriment of blazing full color. Written by Sharon Sayler, her magical story is designed to entertain and inspire young minds, stimulate their imagination, and encourage a kinder, more compassionate world. Delightfully illustrated by Olivia Cole with black and white and full-color imaginative illustrations that enchant young and old alike. PinkyChenille.com offers free coloring and activity sheets available in PDF format so that you can download and print them over and over again. Children love repetition, and in a printable form, you never run out of their favorite activities. Learn more You can learn more at www.pinkychenille.com (use secret code "Friends" to save 15% if purchasing from website), and join the Pinky Chenille community on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/PinkyChenille; and via Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram at @PinkyChenille. Choosing the right category for your book when you list it on Amazon is one of the best ways you can boost its visibility on Amazon. Selecting a category is like choosing where your book will be displayed in your local bookstore. Put it in the wrong place, and readers will miss it entirely. In the right place, and you'll get seen by people who may not know you, but are searching for the exact topic you're writing about. I bet you've done some book shopping on Amazon where you searched by category, trying to find something new and exciting. You're not the only one! Many readers who shop on Amazon discover books by browsing by category. And, another bonus, if your title is assigned correctly, you'll increase the chances of it appearing in Amazon's automated marketing campaigns. How to add Amazon book categories Categories are added during the process of adding your book listing to Amazon. If you already have a book on Amazon, you can change or update listings as well. For full instructions and more information check out this page on Amazon's Author Central. And if you need help, one tool we've heard Vervante authors praise is called KDSpy. It's a unique software application that reverse-engineers the Kindle Marketplace to reveal lucrative Kindle keyword category niches. After all, when it comes to categories, the more specific, the better your results.

Mark your calendars and get ready - Amazon Prime Day (July 15 and 16) is just around the corner! If you have a book or product on Amazon (or for sale anywhere else!), this is a great opportunity to add some sizzle to your sales. Here's how: Offer a special "prime" deal for your audience Shoppers are excited and anticipating epic deals as Prime Day gets closer. You can take advantage of their attention by offering special deals directly to your audience if they purchase from your website (not Amazon!). The best way to do this is to reach out directly to your loyal customers and fans. This means sending emails to your list and posting updates to your social media. Want to stand out from the crowd? Creating special offers and promotions will get their interest - and provide real value your customers will appreciate. This is your chance to get creative by offering value-boosting extras and irresistible promotions such as: "Free plus shipping" offers where for a limited time only customers can get your book/product for free and only need to pay shipping. (This is a great one to use on social media and will also help add emails to your list). Special "prime day" packages where for a limited time several products are bundled for one low price. If your clients love packages, take it a step further by creating a subscription service and launch it on Prime Day with free extras or a special reduced rate that will catch people's attention. Record a special audio podcast or video tutorial as an extra for one of your books or products and offer it as a special bonus on Prime Day. Offer a special personal coaching session, or limited-time memberships to your masterminds or coaching groups, with any Prime Day purchase. The key here is to be creative - and add value. You don't need to reduce your prices, just give more in a way that will excited your customers and make them feel like they got the best prime deal out there! Build anticipation with sneak peeks Here's one more tip to give your Prime Day deals some extra oomph: Be sure to share "sneak peeks" of the specials you'll be offering in your newsletters, social media and emails. It's a great way to spread the word, build anticipation and join in all of the Prime Day fun everyone is having.

We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to author, mermaid, ocean advocate, mystic, and creator of the Diving into the Divine Feminine collection, Vyana Reynolds. Vyana's story Q: What inspired you to create these products? I found myself hitting bottom AGAIN, even in paradise, with sugar addiction after 46 years! I assumed that once I had transitioned from lawyer to mermaid and retired in Hawai'i, my addiction would magically disappear -- not the case. Having tried EVERY 12 Step program known to man, I gave up. I surrendered to the knowing that I would only find freedom by creating my own program. For me, it must be based not on 12 Steps but 13, inspired by the Divine Feminine. Every day, I awoke and asked the Universe, "What do I need today to overcome this addiction?" Every day, I was given an affirmation, a wisdom story and a power practice to apply to my life. By the end of 13 weeks, I found freedom for the first time in my life. I knew I had to share this method with the world! So, my first book was published with the help of Vervante. Q: What advice would you give other aspiring authors or creatives? Let Vervante hold your hand and conspire to make your products even better! In my case, the CEO suggested that I might also want a matching journal and 91-day affirmation card deck. Voila! In 2 weeks, they were done. Q: What do you love about this collection? Now I can provide an entire support system to those still suffering from addiction. Best of all, these products inspire me to create even more! I constantly recommend Vervante to friends who say, "I've always wanted to write a book, but don't know how to publish it." I recently wrote my first children's book in 3 hours during an airplane ride. In the past, I wouldn't have wasted my time writing a book that I didn't know how to publish. It's so easy now! About Diving Into the Divine Feminine: 13 Steps to Freedom from Food Addiction Tired of struggling with food cravings? Frustrated with diets only to find nothing works, and worst of all, you blame yourself thinking it has something to do with your lack of will power? I answered “yes” to all these questions before I wrote this book. Now, I have found FREEDOM from food addiction without much effort. It feels natural to reach for healthy food. It turns out my addiction had little to do with food. I was surprised to discover the true source of my hunger. My previous food choices were just a symptom of a spiritual hunger that haunted me. Now, I have everything I need and more -- a spiritual center, daily affirmations, powerful practices and stories to remember this wisdom in those moments when old habits want to take over. Diving Into the Divine Feminine: 13 Steps to Freedom from Food Addiction is based on ancient wisdom; connection to your higher power; and a willingness to explore a new future for yourself. Following this program, food is now in its rightful place -- a back seat pleasure, not a driving force. This entire collection is designed to give you the support you'll need to finally end this old pattern and BE FREE! Book Instead of waking up every morning dreading another day of struggle with food, pick up the book and apply the principles. Journal Your unique journey offers many insights. Having a Journal to keep track of them and your progress will inspire you to keep moving forward. Daily Affirmation Cards Allow the images in the 91 Daily Affirmation Cards to further inspire you. Bookmark An inspirational bookmark with vintage key is a symbol of your freedom to create a life you love. Golden Gift Bag In the midst of our negative self-talk, it's easy to forget how beautiful, sacred, and precious we are. Gifts of beauty, such as this golden gift bag serve as a wonderful reminder. If you are writing your first book, you’re probably worried about what to do, what not to do, and wondering if you’re forgetting anything in the process. Learning from other’s mistakes is a great way to get a jump start, so we gathered a list of the most common errors we’ve seen authors so you can avoid them in your own journey. Skipping the editing stage Sloppy writing reflects poorly on the author. Readers are forgiving only to a point. If your book is full of errors, it will be distracting and difficult to read. Depending on your budget, hire a professional editor, find someone willing to barter services, or even a colleague with eagle-eyes and a willingness to help you. Bad cover design The design of your cover deserves as much attention as the content. The first impression of a book cover can make or break the sale. A professionally-designed cover isn’t just important – it’s everything! Hire a professional to create a cover that will attract attention and portray the message and professionalism you need. Bad interior formatting Just like cover design, you need the services of a professional to format your book’s interior to make it pleasing to the eye and easy to read. Bad timing for your book launch If you’ve written a book that is more relevant to a specific season, be sure to strategize and plan ahead. For instance, don’t launch a fitness book about getting ready for summer in November. And don’t write a book about the winter holidays and launch it on Dec. 25. Not thinking beyond the book If you have a book, you can also create an ebook. But don’t stop there. If you publish a children’s book with images, create a companion coloring book by removing color from the images. Non-fiction books can be accompanied by workbooks, journals, planners, calendars, card decks and more that continue the theme and add value to your book. Plus, more products mean more income, more exposure, more readers and customers, and the ability to build a successful business by repurposing your content. Ordering expensive, unnecessary “starter” packages A good publisher will not force you to purchase hundreds of books or pay large fees to print your book. Look for a company that offers Print on Demand services as well as larger print run options – like us! Not ordering a sample Always order at least one (or a handful) of sample copies, or ARCs (Advance Reading Copies), before you offer your book to the public to make sure it’s exactly what you were envisioning. Launching without feedback Speaking of sample copies, be sure to share a few with trusted colleagues or hand-picked “beta readers” for constructive criticism. Getting too much feedback Feedback is great, but don’t make the mistake of letting too many cooks into your kitchen. In the end, your book is your book. Feedback that catches editing mistakes, points out inconsistencies in stories, suggests additions or stories that would add to the value of the book are great. But suggestions for total rewrites to fit the taste of each individual is not what you need. Only selling on Amazon Amazon is great, but don’t limit yourself to just one venue for sales. If you list via Amazon Marketplace you’ll make higher royalties and still have the ability to also sell your book in other locations like your own website or other online bookstores. Selling from locations you can control gives you the freedom to be creative and offer more value for your audience in the form of bundles, coupons, promotions, etc. Ignoring fair use and permissions Whenever you want to directly quote, excerpt, or reproduce someone else’s work in something you are writing, you should consider whether or not you need legal permission to protect yourself and your business from potential future problems. Some of the things you may want to quote or reuse will fall under the “Fair Use” umbrella, which means you don’t need permission as long as the way you’re using it does not impede on the owner’s rights. Other things, however, are legally protected by copyright and should only be used after acquiring permission. Check out this article for more details: Fair Use and Permissions for authors. Book sales tunnel vision Don’t make the mistake of trusting Kevin Costner movies and thinking “If I write it, they will come.” If no one knows about your book, no one will buy it. In today’s evolving publishing world, even top publishing firms are asking their authors to help with marketing and promotion. Be active in social media, share your book idea and tidbits as you are writing, give away short ebooks and previews in exchange for email addresses to build a database that you can reach out to in the future for book launches, tours, events, updates, announcements and future sales. and finally….. Not following your heart If you have a book idea and it’s something you feel strongly about, the biggest mistake you can make is to not write it. Everyone has a special talent or message they can share, and somewhere out there are readers who need what only you can provide. Self-publishing is a great resource for empowering aspiring authors to turn their ideas into reality. So go for it!

As an author, you’ve fulfilled your dream of writing and publishing a book. But your book is only the beginning – not the end! Because you can take that book and create products that will make you not only an author, but also an entrepreneur. Whether it’s your first book, or you’re a seasoned author, you can leverage the content you’ve already created to make products that increase readers’ enjoyment, expand your audience, and add new revenue streams – all without a lot of extra work. Because you’ve already done the heavy lifting by writing the book! Books can be the foundation of a thriving business model. Our CEO, Cindy Tyler, loves brainstorming with Vervante authors to help them choose the right products that will complement their books, and boost their income. We’ve gathered up her best tips here, to give you a head start: Choosing types of products Take a look at your book and consider what else your readers might need that would add value to the book and to the readers’ experience. Remember, this is not about creating more work for you. It’s about repurposing great content you’ve already written into products like: Workbooks Journals Planners Notepads: Shopping lists, exercise routines, learning course tasks, etc. USB flash drives Card decks: Educational flash cards, recipes, exercises, daily affirmations, etc. Children’s books and fiction can do this too. Products that go great with fiction and children’s books include: Coloring books Small journals Stickers Card decks: Educational flash cards, games, character cards Creating and selling themed products Products that continue the theme of your book can also help to increase book sales by packaging them with the book and offering as bundles. This increases the value of what you are providing – and allows you to charge a higher price. Once you’ve chosen the type of product you want to create, remember that you don’t need to write something brand new. Use the content from your book to create the product, then send us a print-ready PDF. Here are a few ways you can transform your books into a complementary product: Workbooks: Restate lessons from each chapter, leaving space for readers to write down thoughts, ideas, questions, answers, actions and next steps. Coloring Books: Remove the color from illustrations in a children’s book to create a coloring book. For adult coloring books, use images that continue the theme of your main book. Card Decks: We are rule-breakers here at Vervante – we’ll create a deck of cards in any amount you want and any design, front and back. So don’t feel like you have to do exactly 56, and the backs don’t need to match, either. Cards can contain daily affirmations, training tips, daily tasks, recipes, exercise routines, writing prompts, gratitude mantras, meditations, and more. The sky's the limit - as long as you can fit it on a card! If you want to design some of these products yourself, Canva is a great graphic design program for creating your own card decks – and it’s free! Short on time and want a team of professionals to help? We have great designers, writers and editors we are happy to recommend to our customers. If you love to write and dream of making a living with your writing, it’s all about creating multiple streams of income. Check out our online catalog for ideas, and let us know if you have any questions or ideas at [email protected].

I had clients saying I ought to write a book and make a guided journal/planner...and so I did! The guided journal was a goal of mine for 2018 (set for myself in 2017). I thought it would be a really creative way for me deepen my thoughts around my message and what I'm teaching, to help me better formulate my words for pitching a book to a publisher. It was a great experience creating it and I'm so glad I did! It wasn't easy, but it was worth it! Q: What advice would you give to others considering creating journals or planners? I did research first to see what was out there and what people liked and didn't like (for instance, I found that lots of people said they prefer wire binding when they're writing in a book, so that it stays open). My research also led me to Vervante (which answered many of my concerns with self-publishing). And finally, I have an audience to sell to...so I highly recommend you have a mailing list. This makes all the difference in making sure sales happen. We often think everyone will buy because it's a low cost product, but the truth is...the 'know-like-and trust' factor is a thing. Even low cost items take marketing effort. If you have an audience who knows you, likes you, and trusts you...well, this helps significantly. Q: What do you love about your products? I love end of the month and year rituals that are sustainable, soulful, and creative. It feels deeply nourishing to have guided processes for setting goals and designing a life that feels like me...so this journal is my little sacred book to bringing my full self to the world. I also love having my goals and life design for the year ahead, in one place. I feel like this journal is my little Dreams, Character, and Goals companion to keep me aligned with my deepest truths and desires. About The Fulfillment Formula Journal + Companion Planner This beautiful guided life design journal + soulful planner will enable you to envision, design, and create an enriched life of purpose, presence, and peace of mind with more ease and efficiency. This is not a daily planner where you write down your meetings and appointments. This is a life design journal + companion planning system that supports you in defining, designing, and developing the one thing that matters most when it comes to creating a life of fulfillment…you. Through a one-of-a-kind life design and goal setting application, to a series of provocative writing prompts and exercises, this book will inspire you to bring your full self to the world. Every aspect is carefully curated to support you to create clarity for what really matters most to you, discover your truth with more depth, design a life with more meaning and on your own terms, and build your wholehearted courage muscle to live a life true to your whole self. To get the most out of this book, Amber recommends joining The Changemakers Collective - a 4 week experience guiding you and deepening into the processes in the journal, along with bonus interviews with creative changemakers, yoga/meditation classes, and a community of like-minded rebels with a cause at http://www.ambercampion.com/thechangemakerscollective. We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to Lanny Sinkin, a man who wears many hats but above all passionately follows his heart and his conscience to make the world a better place. The Conscious Bible, written under the nom de plume of Lani Kukini’elele, was formed from Lanny's experiences over several years while living and working in Hawai'i. The story behind The Conscious Bible Q: What inspired you to create this book? I think of myself as bringing in the book, more than creating the book. The process began when I was co-coordinator of The Lightworker Center in Hilo, Hawai’i in the early 90s. The Center was a space for teachers and healers to present workshops and classes. Over a three year period, hundreds came to present their knowledge and practices. One of the repeated experiences I had was going home to sleep, waking up in the middle of the night, going down to the Center, turning on the computer, and typing out a full cosmic story/message. By the time we closed the Center, there were five or six such stories that I left up on the Center website for anyone to find. Some time later, I was visiting Punalu'u Beach, also on the Island of Hawai’i, with the King of the restored Kingdom of Hawai’i. As I stepped out of the truck, an energy descended upon me and I was in a different dimension. A figure dressed in a cowl and robe walked up to me and handed me a scroll. The figure said: “This is the new Bible.” I placed the scroll inside me and “woke up.” Over the next three weeks or so, I spent every day at the computer bringing in different parts of the book, including the extensive presentation of the Melchizedek science of creation and cosmic stories, like The Star Unicorns. The stories from the Lightworker Center and the information downloaded from the scroll came together in The Conscious Bible. Q: What advice would you give other aspiring authors or creatives? If Spirit knocks, open the door. You may end up being a compiler, a channel, or a creator. Q: What do you love about The Conscious Bible? I love the messages, teachings, and diversity of presentations in the book. I love that some of the information is presented as kaona, a Hawaiian word that means a parable whose meaning is well hidden. There are many layers of information in the book with the deeper messages found by spending the time to reflect. I love the love that shines throughout the book. About The Conscious Bible This narrative is an exploration of consciousness, touching on a number of perspectives and different takes on creation. It presents questions for pondering, such as, “What if our God, our divine source, is a young God in the process of learning all its dimensions?” Is this God “prepared to join a larger community and participate in the unfolding of an even greater reality?” With reverence for sentient and mythical beings, such as the echoes of dolphins communicating a coherent message to mankind, and star unicorns offering illumination, the narrative continues. With a nod to conventional stories of creation, and using mathematical formulas and venn diagrams, weaving between energy, matter, and void, the book confronts topics of fear, chaos, and ultimately the purpose of existence itself. The Conscious Bible is a record of a vision that came to Lani Kukini’elele. He considers himself both scribe and author, and the book a collaboration with various expressions of consciousness. We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhonda Hull, Ph.D., a seasoned author, artist, speaker and guide. Through the conscious use of the energy found in words+art+collaboration, Rhonda is a powerful advocate of whole-hearted living and to support her message she has created a series of Keepsake Treasures products that are easy to share, easy to carry, and always stay in your heart. The story of Rhonda's Keepsake Treasures Q: What inspired you to create these products? I have long been some form of teacher, mentor and guide, but neglected to see my lettering and calligraphy as a worthwhile part of who I am and what I offer. Walking the path of cancer with my barely 2-year-old grand-nephew (now 14), followed by becoming actively involved in the ongoing journey of my grandson when diagnosed with autism at age 3 (now 13), and then facing my own health challenges as a result of the stress of it all, I learned the power and importance of self-care, and in having a circle of ones who you love and who love you unconditionally. I learned that the things we think are so important become less so, and that love really is the answer to every question. Every moment can be a keepsake moment, even the messy ones. I knew it was time to bring my art forward as a way to touch hearts and make a difference. The importance of savoring even the bittersweet moments is what I attempt to reflect in my products, dedicated to uplift and offer encouragement to those maneuvering the meaningful and messy moments of life. Q: What advice would you give other aspiring authors or creatives? Dare to believe it’s possible. Take at least one step beyond your comfort zone. Dream not only outside the box, but as if there is no box. Get clear on the people you want to serve. It was amazing to me how by daring to hope, and ask, and take risks, and believe it was somehow possible, be willing explore pooling the talents of other creatives, and then leaning on the guidance and experience of Vervante, even more than I could imagine became possible. As a result, I found the courage to set my creativity free! Q: What do you love about the Keepsake Treasures products? They are filled with colorful energy captured in a variety of forms that expand my ability to touch hearts! A long time ago I took on the belief that I could never succeed as an artist. Vervante offered me the framework through which I could see beyond that limiting belief. Using words+art+collaboration transformed into variety of product formats, I was easily able to expand my product line and began to see the value in using my creative inklings to make a difference - and an income! About Keepsake Treasures The trickiest journey of a lifetime is only 16 inches, the adventure from your head to your heart. “But, where do I start,” you may wonder, and, “how is it possible for me to feel so easily overwhelmed, so little meaning, and all alone in a world where I am elbow-to-elbow with over 7 billion people?” In a world of too much ‘stuff’ and too little time, we can loose sight of the essential things that matter most; the things that keep us connected to our own heart and to the people we love, confident that every moment matters, despite our circumstances. Combining art+words+collaboration, the keepsake products at Rhonda's website, are infused with love and designed to keep us ever-aware that every moment is full of miracles, even the messy ones. Whether something simple that offers acknowledgement to someone you love (My Little Red Book), uplifting comments and profound questions to help you maneuver through tough times (Healing Heart Cards), or daily encouragement to focus on the power of presence and possibilities (Yes, And the Adventure Continues Playbook/Any-Time Day Timer), these products are an invitation for us all to make every moment a keepsake moment. Thanks to words, wisdom, and collaborative art skillfully brought to life through the craftsmanship of Vervante Press, RhondaHull.com offers a life-line of creative energy, and heartfelt encouragement on your adventure from your head to your heart. We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to Expert Master Hand Analyst Pamelah Landers, who is a best-selling international author of hand analysis products including the book Your Love Design. The story behind Pamelah's book Q: What inspired you to write this book? Once I learned about heart lines in the hands, I wanted EVERYBODY to be aware and know this one thing. If they realized and had language for their heart line type, they could have much clearer communication with family members, dating partners and work associates. There would be a way to accept other people's design and not try to keep demanding or desiring other people to behave like the person who wants the others to change. We are each designed with a very specific approach and it's all in our hands. Our soul map is in our body, the hands being a microcosm which is why no two look exactly the same. I want people to know their design and be true to their design so life is easier, happier and certainly more fulfilling. I've been reading hands for 28 years and I KNOW in every fiber of my being that when people are seen for their design, there is big sense of relief, permission, enthusiasm and validation. I watch their faces change as I talk with them, soften, relax into their body, sit up straighter, even lean forward with excitement. Q: What advice would you give other aspiring authors or creatives? Do it! All your internal criticism based on projecting other people's "possible" response is NOT a valid reason. Take the risk and ask for help. If you are writing non-fiction, you may not need to write from "front to back." Write the content that is up for writing NOW because you are excited about it, are thinking about, have stories to tell now. Put it together later. Write the introduction last unless you are super clear about the purpose of the introduction that explains the book's contents. Q: What do you love about your book? The cover design, the content that provides so much tangible, helpful insight one paragraph at a time. My book is full of stories to "make it real" for people, many based on movies (I've watched SO MANY movies to write my books) and people's real life experiences including mine. I'm super passionate about how my book can provide more ease for people in relationship dynamics. Relationships don't have to be as hard as people tend to make them if they knew their design and followed it. About "Your Love Design" Whether you’re on the verge of divorce, chronically single or somewhere in between, this new entrance into understanding your emotional guidance system helps you build, maintain, and grow relationships that work. You don’t need to be fixed. Nothing is broken. You just haven’t fully understood the love design of you and your partner that is written in your hands. You haven’t fully uncovered your Emotional Guidance System that is always with you. Discover Your Love Design: A Practical Guide to Your Love & Communication Style Based on Your Hands Heart Lines written by Pamelah Landers, the world’s leading authority on heart lines. In this practical guide to your heart lines you’ll identify: How you express your feelings How you express and show love How you want others to show love to you, how you receive it from them How you want others to communicate their feelings with you Learn more Learn more about Pamelah’s book here: http://pamelahlanders.com/your-love-design/ Get your product featured If you enjoyed this article and would like your Vervante product featured in our newsletter and blog email [email protected] with the following information: 250-word overview of your product URL link for the landing or sales page for the product High-res image(s) of the product and/or author Your creativity inspires us and your success deserves to be shared!

Not sure what print on demand means? We get asked this question a lot, and we're happy to share more about how Vervante provides Print on Demand services to help authors, entrepreneurs, business owners and more share and sell books and products on their own terms. Printing on Demand (POD) uses digital printing methods to print books and other products only in the amount needed, when they are needed. While other publishing companies may require costly minimum orders in large numbers, here at Vervante we offer Print on Demand services for any size order, printing only when you need it, to meet your budget and demand. How does Print on Demand work? An order is placed for a book or other product. We print the exact amount ordered. The order is then shipped to the customer. It’s that simple. For example: If you list your book for sale on your website and a customer orders one book, we print one book and ship it to your customer. If you have a speaking event coming up and need 25 books, we will print 25 books and send them to you. Print on Demand pricing For books or products printed on demand with Vervante, you pay only the cost of printing plus postage for shipping. We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to publisher Diane Windsor (pictured) and her client Julie Samrick's book, Murphy's Miracle. The story behind Diane and Julie's journey Q: What inspired Julie to write this book? Murphy's Miracle - One Dog's Wild Journey is based on a true story. Julie's friends' dog, Murphy, was missing in the El Dorado National Forest for almost two years, and then was miraculously found! Julie fictionalized what may have happened to Murphy during the time she was missing. Q: What advice would you give for others who are thinking of writing a book? As a publisher, I'm responsible for editing, formatting, cover design, etc. But the most difficult part is marketing. You can have the best book ever written available, but if people don't know about it, it won't sell. It's so important to develop a marketing plan that includes multiple strategies. And it's important to be creative - think out of the box when it comes to marketing! For example, when Murphy's Miracle was released I partnered with our local animal shelter, and it benefitted both of us. Also, marketing is a long-term part of publishing a book. It's not only at launch, but for as long as the book is available. Q: What do you and Julie love most about this book? The story is all about never losing hope. The Brauns, Murphy's family, never gave up that she'd come home one day. Also, I love the cover. That's an actual picture of Murphy, and I love it! About "Murphy's Miracle" Murphy Braun is a five-year-old golden retriever who loves her family, and loves doing everything with them. This includes going on camping trips in the beautiful ElDorado National Forest. But one camping trip didn’t go as planned. Murphy was lost in the forest; no matter how hard her family searched, they couldn’t find her. She spent many months alone in the wilderness, fighting to survive. Will her family ever find her? We're constantly amazed by the clever, unique, brilliant and beautiful books and products our customers create. Today we’d like to introduce you to Shira Gura, Creator of The S.T.U.C.K. Method®, author of the award-winning book Getting unSTUCK: Five Simple Steps to Emotional Well-Being, and host of the Getting Unstuck podcast. Shira shares her inspiration for creating a unique card deck that works in harmony with her book and in helping people to embrace her teachings and get unstuck. The story behind Shira's Consideration Cards Q: What inspired you to create this card deck? I actually originally had an idea to write another book, "365 Considerations," but then I realized a few things: a) card decks are "in" now, b) using cards is a unique and different way to work with Getting Unstuck than a book, c) card decks are portable, accessible, and effective in any moment, whereas books are more of a "shelf" thing once you are done reading them, and d) they would be great giveaways or add value to a course I offer. Q: What advice would you give for others creating card decks (or any other type of product)? Varying your products is important. It helps build your brand and it gives the impression to your customer that your brand is serious and growing. Q: What do you love about this product? I love that the cards are versatile, that I can give them as gifts, that they can be used in a variety of ways (both personally and professionally), and best of all, I love that people are buying them!! About Consideration Cards The S.T.U.C.K. Method® is a self-coaching tool that empowers you to get “unstuck” from emotionally challenging situations in your life and in your relationships. There are five steps to the method: S=Stop, T=Tell, U=Uncover, C=Consider, and K=OK. While the steps are not necessarily always easy to implement when in the midst of a “stuck” situation, they are simple and illustrate the possibility of being able to flow from a place of emotional turmoil and distress, to a place of clarity and inner peace in any moment. This deck includes 52 concise, yet powerful, Consideration Cards as a support to get you unSTUCK. The 4th step in The S.T.U.C.K. Method®, “C” for “consider,” guides you to become less reactive and more deliberate in challenging life situations by pondering alternate viewpoints. The Consideration Cards are meant to be used in conjunction with The S.T.U.C.K. Method® to help you broaden your perspective, heighten your curiosity, and reflect on suggestions from an objective source. When you are struggling to cope, these cards can guide and support you, and prompt you to redirect your focus. Getting unstuck is not a one-stop process, but rather a skill that is cultivated through continuous repeated practice.
